occoquan1's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ceiling Repair, No Money, Ouija, Stuck Late, B and the Elephant Man Good afternoon Diary. Sitting here at work and wishing I was home finishing patching up the ceiling...well, I hope I can patch it...first the primer, then the paint, then realizing it doesn't match when it's dry...then going back to Home Depot and trying again. The color is right, but I am hoping it is flat and not shiny. I told them that a few times yesterday...I am painting a ceiling and I don't need glossy paint. Regardless, I'll need to add another coat tonight after I get home...unless the stain bleeds through, in which case...primer again. Someone in my office mentioned "Kills It" as a good primer, so I might have to go get that. Hopefully it'll all work out, otherwise, I am going to have to save a bit of money to have a drywall specialist come out, remove that section (check for leaks) and replace it. Whew. The kitties freak out every time I get the plastic out and put it down...well, Sieggy does mostly. And that's despite reassurances that everything is OK. If I have to get a drywall specialist to come in, they are really gonna freak, since they are totally people shy. :-) Well, my credit card bill was $1115.26, which leaves me about $75 to live off of until September 29th. Yikes! Well, I can start writing those floating checks after 2:00 p.m. on the 26th, but that's still 10 days...I guess I am going to have to be ultra frugal till then. Well, I have plenty of magicak tomes to read, so I should be in good shape...enough food to last too. I'll mostly have to buy cat and bird food. They eat more than I do. :-) Well, my Ouija board should arrive this week...it'll be the last I purchase until next pay day. Not too hard to stay away from Ebay when you have no money. :-D Still, I have my list of boards to acquire, and then look out! Actually, I still need to sit down and fire one up...maybe start with Pyschic Circle and then move on to Ouija. :-) Well, since I was working on the ceiling yet again this morning, I got here late...if I don't leave early, I'll be here until after 9:00 tonight...I don't know if I am going to make that. I'll just see how I feel a couple hours from now...probably sleepy, since I feel that way already. Oh, one good thing...my friend B's play opened this past weekend...he is playing John Merrick (The Elephant Man). He said that the opening weekend was excellent...though not capacity, they had good crowds. I am excited to see the show...I am going Saturday night. B is always good in everything he does, so I know he is going to be phenomenal.
